What is Kiln-Dried Firewood?

Kiln-dried firewood is wood that has been processed in a controlled drying chamber (a kiln) to remove moisture content down to below 10%.
At Eco 247, our firewood is kiln-dried to just 8% moisture — significantly lower than standard air-dried firewood. By reducing the internal moisture, you get a product that:

  • Ignites faster
  • Burns hotter
  • Produces less smoke and ash
  • Prevents creosote buildup in flues and chimneys

In short: it’s cleaner for your home, more efficient for your heater, and far more consistent than air-dried or green firewood.

From Sawdust to Compressed Bricks

Our compressed bricks are made from recycled sawdust waste — material that would otherwise go to landfill. We compress it under high pressure (no glues, no binders), then kiln-dry it to 8% moisture for optimal burn quality.

Each brick burns for up to 2.2 hours, providing strong, steady heat. With just 2 to 3 bricks, you’ll enjoy a warm and efficient fire throughout the night — perfect for heating, cooking, or relaxing.

Recycled from Local Craftsmanship

Our hardwood offcuts are collected from carpenters and furniture makers who would otherwise discard them. This is where we step in! We save this valuable resource from landfill, and repurpose it as firewood.

Offcuts are ideal for starting your fire, adding extra flames, or mixing with bricks to tailor your burn. They ignite fast and burn hot — ideal for wood stoves, open fires, and pizza ovens.

  • Hardwood Oak offcuts

Ever wondered where those leftover bits from furniture making go? Look no further than our American Oak offcuts. These substantial chunks aren't just waste, they're seasoned veterans of craftsmanship, ready to fill your fireplace with the warmth of both wood and sustainability.
