How to use our plant-based litter

1. Transition gradually

Start by mixing in about 25% of our litter with your current brand. Slowly increase until you’ve fully switched.

2. Maintain proper litter depth

Keep at least 5 cm of litter in the tray. Scoop and clean daily, and top back up to the same depth to avoid sticking.

3. Flush in small amounts

Flush litter in small portions (not applicable for cassava litter). Alternatively, dispose urine clumps in the green or red bin and feces in the red bin only.

4. Refresh regularly

Replace the entire tray every 3–4 weeks. Wash the tray with hot water or mild detergent before refilling.

We are foster carers for cats and kittens for the past 7 years. We have tried many litter brands. We thought wood chip litter was the best until I tried the pea husk litter. Not only is there no smell but I love you can scoop and leave the tray clean again. We have litter tracker prevention mats under our 4 litter trays. The Pea husk litter only tracks less than half a metre from the litter tray. Another benefit our cavoodle is less interested in the little parcels left in the tray if they are covered in pea husk.

My ex got me hooked on this when we were together. Recently split so brought one myself, unfortunately I was born without a sense of smell and I forgot my gat can drop hot smelly logs and even with cleaning the litter everyday the smell lingers and my guest laugh about how such a small cat can drop some smelly turds. I got the carbon no odar litter bin and a friend was up and she was amazed how it was full of poo and didn't stink. It sold her and now she's looking to get one for her cat and I was so relieved to hear that it doesn't smell out my house or room as I get paranoid of odars when I can't smell.
Iv seen some 2-4 star reviews of people complaining on the price but that's just inflation, bags of cat litter has gone up and I find this bin is way cheaper. Costed me $200 and hopefully last 10months or longer. If I was to go back to bunnings or supermarket I'd be spending a lot more then $200 and it wouldn't be as good of quality as this. If anything I feel like the litter bin is under value. This stuff is amazing. My girl friend is gonna buy a bin on her payday and is keen as.
