Birman

Bred specifically for companionship, they have exceptionally sweet, relaxed, and easygoing temperaments

While the true origins of the Birman cat remain a bit of a mystery—officially recognized in France in 1925 and England in 1966—beautiful legends claim their striking blue eyes and golden coats were a gift from a goddess! With their beautiful pointed colors, they are often mistaken for Siamese cats, but they boast a uniquely sweet and relaxed disposition all their own.

Birmans are the ultimate friendly companions; they adore lounging with their families and are wonderfully welcoming to houseguests. When socialized early, they get along beautifully with other cats and even dogs.

They may not be fierce hunters, but they are incredibly curious "helpers" who love to be involved in whatever you are doing—even if that means playfully knocking a pen off your desk!
