Hairless like a Sphynx with the short legs of a Munchkin. The Bambino is warm, playful and loves to be in the middle of everything.

Meet the Bambino
The Bambino was developed in the United States in the mid-2000s by crossing the Sphynx with the short-legged Munchkin. Its name is Italian for 'baby', a nod to its small, kitten-like look.
Be aware: the Bambino's short legs come from a form of dwarfism, and like the Scottish Fold it is not recognised by some cat registries because of welfare concerns about joints and spine. If you choose one, go to a registered breeder who health-tests, and budget for regular vet checks. Like any hairless cat, it also needs regular baths and protection from cold and sun.
Bambino kittens
Every Bambino starts out as a bundle of curiosity. Kittens grow quickly, and the cat you see above is what yours will grow into.
Always choose a registered breeder. A good breeder will have your kitten vet-checked, vaccinated and microchipped, and will happily answer your questions and introduce you to the parents.

A Bambino-friendly home
A Bambino needs warmth, skin care, gentle access to its favourite spots and plenty of company.
Without fur to soak up skin oils, a Bambino needs regular gentle baths and its ears cleaned often.
Low furniture, ramps and steps help those short legs. Keep them lean and have joints and spine checked at regular vet visits.
A hairless cat feels the cold. Cosy beds and warm spots indoors are a must, plus sun protection on hot days.
