How to use our plant-based litter

1. Transition gradually

Start by mixing in about 25% of our litter with your current brand. Slowly increase until you’ve fully switched.

2. Maintain proper litter depth

Keep at least 5 cm of litter in the tray. Scoop and clean daily, and top back up to the same depth to avoid sticking.

3. Flush in small amounts

Flush litter in small portions (not applicable for cassava litter). Alternatively, dispose urine clumps in the green or general waste bin and feces in the general waste bin only.

4. Refresh regularly

Replace the entire tray every 3–4 weeks. Wash the tray with hot water or mild detergent before refilling.

FAQs

It’s made from recycled pea husks, a natural byproduct of food processing. No trees are cut down, and it’s 100% plant-based and compostable.

Yes, it clumps quickly and firmly, making it easy to scoop and maintain a clean tray.

Yes, in small amounts. It’s water-soluble and biodegradable, but we recommend composting for the most eco-friendly disposal.

Don’t worry — pea husk is natural and non-toxic. Small accidental ingestion (like when grooming) is safe. If you notice ingestion to occur more frequently, consult with a vet.

We recommend filling your tray with 5–7 cm of litter for best clumping and odour control. Plus, you'll also avoid a sticky bottom.

Standard pea husk is best for manual trays. For automatic/self-cleaning machines, we recommend crushed pea husk.
